MY PAINTING TRIPS TO PARIS

And I especially like visiting beautiful Paris in springtime.
I go there often.

I find Paris to be every art lover’s paradise—
a city where treasures hang on every wall,
street corners are alive with color, and creative inspiration never sleeps.
From the world-famous museums bustling with masterpieces
to tiny ateliers and explosive murals in hidden alleys,
Paris seems to invite me to get close,
get curious and discover the city through new eyes.

Each time I visit the city
I try to go to a different area I’ve never seen before,
but I always make time to go back to the Louvre,
my favorite museum in the world.

MY PAINTING TRIPS TO LONDON

London, a city steeped in history and culture,
is a vibrant hub for art lovers from around the globe.

With its rich tapestry of artistic expression,
ranging from classical masterpieces to contemporary installations,
the London art world is as diverse as it is dynamic.

Exploring the art scene in London is a journey that fills me
with discovery, inspiration, and connection.
From the grandeur of its galleries and museums
to the vibrancy of its street art,
London offers a rich tapestry of artistic expression
that reflects the city’s diverse culture and history.

MY PAINTING TRIPS TO HAWAII

With its stunning beaches, vibrant culture,
and breathtaking natural beauty,
Hawaii is an artist’s dream come true.
I’m especially drawn to its stunning diverse landscapes
of lush rainforests, volcanic craters, and stunning waterfalls.

I’m especially drawn to its ocean vistas
as they splash against the beach shorelines,
never tiring of the magnetic energy before me.

It’s the reason I visit it so often to paint.

SALMAGUNDI CLUB

The Salmagundi Club (pronounced: sal-muh-guhn-dee)
is an organization created in 1871,
by some very artists and patrons,
to support one another and to encourage
the advancement of art of all kinds.

Counting among its distinguished members are such icons as:
William Merritt Chase, Louis Comfort Tiffany,
N.C. Wyeth, Edward Hopper, Norman Rockwell
and even Winston Churchill.

Beginning in 1917,
the organization moved to its permanent home
within its beautiful historic brownstone mansion
located in Greenwich Village in New York City.

The mansion hosts hundreds of yearly art exhibitions,
painting demonstrations, lectures, concerts,
group meetings, classes, workshops,
and fellow member organization exhibitions and art auctions.

Going to painting shows
is one of my favorite things to do.
And my favorite show is the annual
American Watercolor Society Award Show shown here.

And heading to the turn-of-the-century club bar after seeing the show
is another great reason to visit Salmagundi!
